Silk allows me to give a new dimension to my art. What begins as a watercolour or a painting transforms into a living piece, created to accompany, inspire and express the personality of whoever wears it.
The origin of all creations
The origin of all Sandra Salvat's creations lies in the painterly imagination of an artist inspired by nature and everyday life. She paints both outdoors and in her studio. Her watercolours, oils, sketches and illustrations form the basis for the subsequent metamorphosis of a static work of art into an exclusive, tangible and wearable fashion accessory.
Where every piece is born
It is not a factory — it is a studio where paint, silk and patience share the same breath. Every scarf and every piece passes through the same pair of hands — from the first sketch to the final fold.
Expert hands and artisan tradition
Behind every creation are expert hands and a long artisan tradition. Together with my mother (born in 1930) and a team of experienced seamstresses, we craft each piece with care, attending to every detail so that quality, love and dedication remain the DNA of our brand.
The material that makes it possible
The silk we use comes from Como, the silk capital in northern Italy. There, traditional family businesses have spent decades dedicated to the production and perfection of this most coveted material in the world.
The materials we trust
Soft-touch silk with an elegant sheen, in 16mm and 12mm.
Professional silk dyes, steam-fixed at 102° for a minimum of three hours.
Egyptian pearl yarn with a characteristic sheen and a very soft touch.
Acid-free tissue paper, recycled Kraft boxes and cotton ribbons. Each piece is folded by hand and comes with a description.
