"The 37th America’s Cup transformed Barcelona into the stage for one of the world’s most prestigious sailing competitions. Inspired by the elegance and speed of the AC75s gliding across the Mediterranean, I created this illustration as a tribute to the passion for sailing and my hometown’s deep connection with the sea. The yachts race against Barcelona’s iconic skyline, accompanied by some of its landmarks and the legendary Hundred Guinea Cup, a symbol of tradition and excellence. "La celebración de la 37.ª America's Cup en Barcelona en 2024 transformó el litoral de mi ciudad natal en el escenario de una de las competiciones náuticas más prestigiosas del mundo. Fascinada por la elegancia y la velocidad de los AC75 deslizándose sobre el Mediterráneo, quise capturar en esta ilustración la emoción de aquellas jornadas en las que tecnología, estrategia y viento se unieron en perfecta armonía.
En el diseño, las embarcaciones compiten frente al inconfundible perfil de Barcelona, donde el mar y la ciudad dialogan en un mismo horizonte. La silueta de la Sagrada Familia, Montjuïc, el Hotel W y otros iconos urbanos acompañan a los veleros en su travesía, mientras la legendaria Jarra de las Cien Guineas, el trofeo más antiguo del deporte internacional, ocupa un lugar destacado como símbolo de excelencia y tradición.
Creado por encargo del Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, club anfitrión de la competición, este pañuelo de seda es un homenaje a la pasión por la vela, al espíritu de superación y a la extraordinaria conexión de Barcelona con el mar."
